What is Reiki

Reiki is universal life force energy (think of ki, prana, source energy) used only for our highest good.  As beings made up of energy, anything which impedes the healthy free flow of that energy can lead to stagnation and illnesses.  Reiki energy supports the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies and goes where it is needed.  A Reiki practitioner acts as a focus, conduit and magnifier for this energy, thanks to the attunements which we receive.  The client allows the inflow of reiki energy, actively participating in their own healing and wellness.   In distance healing, the energy moves unhindered through both time and space from Source, through the Reiki master, and to the recipient.

About your session

For your in-person session, we will visit about your needs and expectations, and then you may either sit or lay down on the reiki table (fully clothed, this is not massage!).  It is customary to remove one’s shoes.  I will transmit reiki energy to you, using light touch if you are comfortable with that, or hands-off if you are not.  This is done in silence, with a pleasant background music to facilitate relaxation.  At the end of this time, during which you may find yourself falling asleep, I will gently get your attention.  I ensure that we have time at the end to visit some more if you need to, along with reminders about self-care in the days following your healing session.

Available Sessions

I am offering in person sessions at my downtown practice (2812 1st Avenue North, Suite 414), Monday through Friday.  Hours vary, but typically are between 8:30am and 4pm.  Parking is typically available and I offer parking reimbursement if need be.

Distance healing sessions are also available.  You can read more here about Distance sessions and tips for getting the most out of them.  Hours again vary, but several days a week there are both early morning and evening hours in addition to regular hours, and a few hours on the weekend. These distance sessions are good for people who have full weekday schedules, short lunch breaks, mobility concerns, or a need to maintain more distancing.

I look forward to working with you on your healing journey! Namaste!
